Terms & Conditions

Parents and Students Please Read:
Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior for class on the first day. Student identification is needed (copy of birth certificate). Notebook and pen or pencil is required for class. $100.00 is due the first day of class and the remainder is due on the last day of the classroom instruction. The state requires that all students pass all tests with an 80%. Cheating, disrespectfulness, fighting, excessive tardiness, stealing and other serious problems will not be tolerated and could lead to expulsion, $100.00 fee will be forfeited. Should a student be absent he/she must make this time up. The state requires 30 hours instruction. The scheduling of make-up hours will be done through the office.

The 8 Hrs. Behind-the-Wheel portion of the class will begin after the student has completed the 30 hour course. After successful completion of the driving instruction, students will receive a two-part certificate of completion (original white copy for the Louisiana Department of Motor Vehicles, and a yellow copy for your insurance company).

24 hours notice must be given if the student needs to cancel a drive. If the student fails to give notice or fails to be at his/her scheduled pick-up area, a fee of $35.00 will be charged. If a student is ill, please advise the school as soon as possible.

Course Refund Policy including Deposits:
48 Hours notice must be given if a student is unable to attend a scheduled course. If a 48 hour notice is given and the student does not wish to attend Academics Of Driving School a fee of $35.00 will be charged and the remainder refunded.

Lunches:
Please bring a bag lunch. We have a coke, candy/ chip machine, refrigerator and microwave.

Copies of Certificates (Motor Vehicle) : $15.00
Study Guide : $4.00

$35.00 ASSESSMENT: Wearing improper shoes for scheduled drive. No flip-flops, Crocs, beach style shoes allowed. Stable shoes only. Failure to give 24-hour notice of drive cancellations. Student not being picked up by parents within 15 minutes of the end of lesson. ($1.00 per minute charge after 15 minutes) Student not being picked up at Academics of Driving after drive finished.
